  • General TasksReview, modify, and test existing Cognos reports or cubes.
  • Code and test new Cognos reports or cubes, in accordance with standards.
  • Create and maintain databases and datamodels for the businessManage the configuration of the Cognos environment and maintain user access and securityDevelop and maintain ETL processes using Informatica Power Center.
  • Provide high-level technical direction for both reporting and ETL, including new report and ETL developmentMentor other report analystsResearch data issues within existing Cognos reportsCreate design documentation.
  • Provide support during on-standard business hours.
  • Problem ResolutionDiagnose production problems and perform resolutions.
  • Assist internal and external users in their production problem diagnosis and resolution.
  • TrainingTrain and document sufficiently to enable personnel to provide maintenance and ongoing support to any code written during project assignments.
  • Log and document problems and solutions.
  • Provide on-the-job-training in problem resolution techniques.
Minimum Requirements:

  • Years Skills/Experience8 Experience working effectively in a project team environment
  • 3 Experience serving as a developer/analyst for highly complex client/server applications
  • 3 Experience developing program specifications and test plans
  • 3 Experience programming in Cognos Bl product suite (eg, ReportStudio, Analysis Studio, Query Studio) including Frame work Manager
  • 2 Proficiency with SOL-based DB analysis2 Proficiency with Informatica Power Center 9.62 Proficiency with IBM DB210
  • 2 Ability to translate business requirements into specifications that wil lbe used to implement required reports and dash board requirementsStrong Communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
Preferences: Years Skills Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master\'s degree, including minimum of 12 hours in management science, computer science, information systems, and/or data processing.
