- This role requires data modeling, SQL scripting, ETL, and analytical skills. This ETL Developer will be a key member of client team that is responsible for maintaining, continuously improving, and building out scripts across multiple masters and transactional databases within the Data Factory.
- Additionally, this role requires Informatica administration including server setup, monitoring and tuning. This individual will support a number of projects and initiatives and work with other ETL developers to deliver warehouse, datamart and data integration solutions.
- Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for installing and administering the Informatica serverResponsible for keeping the Informatica server software up to date and patchedResponsible for Informatica user administrationResponsible for Informatica server tuningResponsible for Informatica server backup and recoveryResponsible for learning, applying, refining established ETL and coordinating with other ETL developers across multiple projects.
- Required to participate in all phases of ETL development on assigned projects including reviewing technical documentation, allocating ETL development work, conducting design reviews, coordinating packaging and release deployments and testing of solutions in highly complex environments with high volume of projects and changes in flight.
- Work with developers, business analysts, and DBAs to develop and implement ETL solutions.Design extract, transform and load (ETL) software components.Develop and test ETL software using Informatica PowerCenter, IDQ, SQL, Unix shell scripts.Developing and maintaining software and operational procedure documentation.
- Work within a team structure while being enough of a self starter to develop highly reliable ETL scripts.Perform daily monitoring, verifying the integrity of ETL processes, reviewing logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
- Demonstrate strong problem solving and remediation skillsEnsure that day-to-day ETL operational requirements and Data Factory ETL service levels are met.Responsible for ETL operations to include; problem, incident, request management and root cause analysis.
- Prepares and keeps current documentation on all managed systems, including disaster recovery plans.
- Desired Skills and ExperienceStrong analytical skills, ability to use metrics to drive proactive and continuous improvements.4+ years experience required with:- Informatica server installation and administration- Informatica PowerCenter- Data modeling (3rd Normal Form)- ETL development- Oracle database (PL/SQL)- SQL scripting- Data warehousing and ETL processesAbility to multi-task, problem-solves and prioritizes in a fast paced environment.
