Tableau BI Engineer

Location: Santa Clara, CA

The Tableau Engineer / Developer must be able to work independently with minimum supervision, have strong communication skills, be self-driven, and an effective team player.

Job Responsibilities:

·         Build and maintain scalable BI Applications and Tableau Dashboard Reports to transform big data and related analytical results into graphical representations.

·         Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management and Business users for reporting requirements of various use cases. 

·         Deliver the data, insight and analytics requirements of the business using Tableau.

·         Evaluate and advise on visualization techniques that work best for different types of data.

·         Focus on visual design and usability

Candidate Profile:

·         3-5 years of experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, QlikView in a large-scale environment.

·         Excellent knowledge of Data Warehousing, ETL concepts, SQL, HiveQL etc.

·         Strong knowledge of Data Integration.

·         Proficiency with NoSQL, Hadoop and other Visualization technologies.

·         Preferred skills in Java Programming language.

·         Experience in developing different types of visualizations for interactive data exploration and real-time visualization.

·         Experience in building data visualization applications in retail, hospitality, restaurant vertical is big plus

·         Proficiency with agile or lean development practices

·         Excellent technical and organizational skills

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Work independently with minimal supervision
