Provides technical and systems design expertise in the development and maintenance of Microsoft reporting products, including SharePoint, SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, Excel Power Query, PowerPivot, Power Map, and other related data products. Coordinates with the DWH team and company stakeholders on BI/DWH governance and strategic planning. Provides guidance for high level requirements in support of additional BI tool selection, procurement, and deployment. Maintains and curates a central repository of enterprise BI assets including dashboards and interactive reports. This involves managing regular data refreshes and changes to the underlying business requirements and data models. Enables capabilities available in the BI technology such as drill-through functionality, KPI and scorecard reporting, advanced visualizations including mapping and geospatial analysis, predictive analytics, and other capabilities as they arise. Supports continuous process improvement efforts through the BI, DWH, and overall data infrastructure development lifecycle including development, testing, quality assurance, and deployment in line with clients modified Agile practices. Monitors production BI systems and use for performance, errors, and overall stability, and provides solutions to issues including performance tuning, emergency release and disaster recovery support.
