Role: Senior UX Designer - Mobile Apps Location: Seattle,WA Collaborate with project contributors, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to create user-focused concepts and interactive solutions for mobile application interfaces, while maintaining the consistency and quality of the app. Know and understand the Nordstrom customers needs and serve as their advocate when making design decisions Own significant UX/UI design responsibilities for mobile applications under the direction of the UX Design Manager Execute UX-based projects to refine, develop and enforce interface design, branding and UX best practices Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to create professional and engaging user experiences for mobile and website interface and online communications Develop detailed deliverables effectively communicate UX designs and product requirements Maintain knowledge of user interface processes, tools and best practices to achieve higher quality, lower costs and shorter time to market Maintain expert-level knowledge of competitive and complementary products and experiences Own and execute entire large-impact projects as assigned Effectively communicate concepts with authority and conviction Research and resolve issues using appropriate resources Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design 5 years experience in user interface design (information architecture and visual design) Strong understanding of graphic design and mobile application development and interfaces (iPhone and Android platforms) Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills, and proven track record of presenting to and influencing stakeholders and senior management Ability to research and resolve issues using appropriate resources Demonstrated skill and experience creating user flow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, user interface designs and final visual comps Efficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, prototyping tools, and diagramming tools Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with a high degree of collaboration and influence Experience with usability testing and the implications for user interaction
