Role: Hadoop Engineer Location: Chicago, IL Bachelorâ??s degree in computer science or a related discipline preferred 5+ years of general operational expertise such as good troubleshooting skills, understanding of systemâ??s capacity, bottlenecks, basics of memory, CPU, OS, storage, and networks 2+ years of experience with production Hadoop Ecosystems (ex: HBase, Hive, Pig, Mahout, etc.) Good working knowledge of Unix / Linux commands Sound knowledge of Unix based File Systems Knowledge of Networking Familiarity with open source configuration management and deployment tools such as Puppet and Linux scripting
