• The Maps Data Insights team is chartered to look at various data signals, derive insights regarding map quality, and use those insights to drive improvements in Maps.
• We are looking for talented engineers who are motivated by challenging problems and are well versed with big data technologies.
• Key QualificationsProficiency with Big Data processing technologies (Hadoop, Cassandra, Spark)Experience in building data pipelines and analysis tools using Java, Scala, PythonExperience building large-scale server-side systems with distributed ?processing algorithms.
• Aptitude to independently learn new technologies.

• In this role you will be involved in the following:Development of data processing pipelines, data storage/management architectures using Big Data technologiesDevelopment of Zestful web servicesWorking with internal and external teams to drive platform architecture and design, analyzing data, and producing insights.
• Successful candidates will have strong engineering skills and communication, as well as a belief that data-driven feedback leads to great products.
• EducationBachelors degree in CS or equivalent Additional Requirements- Familiarity with geo spatial data- 2 - 5 years experience
