Job Description Skills:
- Minimum 2+ years specifically on Hadoop platform administration, preferably in Cloudera CDH distribution
- Strong verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills
- Support of upgrades, patches and fixes Backup/Recovery, Data Replication and Disaster Failover concepts and implementations SQL tuning and optimization
- Experience with UNIX based operating systems (as it pertains to Hadoop platform administration) - RedHat Linux, Solaris, AIX Enterprise level change management processes and procedures
- Knowledge and experience with Cloudera and Hadoop related components (Cloudera Manager, Hue, Sentry, Hive, etc.)Experience with EMC Isilion is a plus
- Familiarity with other RDBMs Platforms is also a plus (Oracle, SQL, Teradata, etc.)
