Key Responsibilities
Uses client Planning, Production and APO global design models, techniques and processes
Manage the design, testing and application of SAP Supply Chain systems configuration in line with agreed time frames, business requirements and global standards
Design, implement and support global Supply Chain processes , enhancements and new functionality
Participate in the global implementation of new SAP modules
Apply conceptual knowledge of business processes and technology to solve complex business process and procedural problems
Participate in projects of a cross-functional nature, and deliver/negotiate SAP processes and applications to customers
Act as the technical analyst to ensure the new functional configuration is transported into production environments without unintended impact on business units
Lead technical and business solutions enabled by SAP Supply Chain functionality including PP and APO
Debugging of SAP programs in order to solve application or configuration issues
Evaluate complex SAP notes
Maintain security in compliance with client Security directives
Support business initiatives utilizing Project Management expertise
Comply with companys Global IT Policies & Procedures
Develop training outlines for end-users
Job Requirements :
In addition to the general experience listed the candidate should be particularly knowledgeable with significant experience in the following areas
General understanding and support of SAP PP and significant portions of MM IM and APO
Variant Configuration: ATO Configurator Design, Implementation & Maintenance
Maintenance of Classification System and Dependencies
Creating, Changing and Supporting SAP Queries
PP/APO CIF interface and understanding of SNP/PPDS functionality
APO Heuristics and MRP concepts of APO planning runs.
Thorough knowledge in Serial number management functionality in SAP
Assist the business with mass maintenance of PP master data
Generate mass data maintenance using tools like BDCs /LSMWs
A good working knowledge of the Batch Management functionality in SAP
Primarily responsible for the SAP Engineering Change configuration work with new business implementations to adjust their legacy processes to work with our SAP system
Create variants and work with Basis to setup batch jobs for PP (Most MRP schedules, etc)
Generally assist the business with BOM allocations functionality in PP
Work with security teams on creating, changing and redesigning all PP relevant security roles.
Collective production orders concept and functionality
Complete understanding of the various SAP planning strategies
An understanding of production order costing, settlement and variances
Total familiarity with all facets of the master data required for production materials,
BOMs, routings, work centers, etc
Minimum Bachelors Degree in one of the following disciplines: Computer Sciences, Engineering or Business
Three to five years of hands-on SAP MM/PP configuration experience.
Experience in at least 3 full life cycle SAP implementations including all phases (blueprinting, gap analysis, system design, configuration, testing, training, and go-live support).
In depth understanding of integration with other SAP modules
Must be detailed oriented, organized and flexible
Strong communication and leadership skills
Thorough understanding of business operations in a manufacturing environment.
Understanding of ABAP concepts, reading & debugging code, designing & implementing user-exits.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
Proven ability to work in a self-directed environment.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with individuals at all levels within the company.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
