Role: QA Manager-Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse
Location: Charlotte,NC
Must have experience in testing Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence applications from a QA perspective in the following areas:
QA Execution and delivery experience in End to End process of Data Warehouse and BI projects
Strong SQL skills using different database environments like Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server and DB2
Design and Implementation of common testing process framework across Data Management Organization
knowledge of ETL tools like Data Stage, Informatica, SQL Analysis Services, Teradata Scripts and BI tools like Microstrategy, tableau, BI Publisher,reports
Knowledge of Big data technology projects

Supervise all QA activities and deliverables across multiple project teams, assuring a high degree of thoroughness and quality
Be the advocate for quality even when its not the popular path on a project, resolve differing points of opinion around open defects and negotiate resolution with business and technical teams providing the best course of action based on company and customer needs
Oversee the design, creation, and execution of comprehensive test strategies and plans for systems and product releases
Communicate the status of quality activities, staffing, budgeting and planning to senior levels of IT, business users and management
Assure the certification of the quality of product releases against established and defined criteria
Serve as an escalation point for the resolution of identified quality issues
Monitor QA delivery and resource metrics for efficiency to drive down costs and execution time down while still providing a high degree of quality
Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting to determine root causes of defects and take steps to eliminate them from the process
Develop project plans, resource plans and budgets for QA activities in support of product releases
Track capital and expense budgets to assure delivery within financial parameters
Manage and monitor staff performance in accordance with Corporate HR guidelines, take corrective action as needed.
Coach and mentor management staff through personal development plans and performance reviews
Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or other relative Technical Degree (equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of degree)
EXPERIENCE:
10+ years progressive experience with systems and applications development including systems/ application testing
Experience with the project lifecycle and the application development lifecycle
Experience with staff augmentation with the IT Industry
Experience with providing guidance and direction to staff.
Experience in initiating, conducting and facilitating discussions with multiple stakeholders, and ability to translate the results and issues at hand to the business and to the IT teams

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products: Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project
Knowledge and experience working in an IT department within a Fortune 500 retail company
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Prior system design, database design or development experience
Knowledge of eCommerce, Order Management, Store Systems
