Reports to: Deputy Director of Civil Engineering

Team: Civil EngineeringEducation: BS or MS in Civil EngineeringProfessional: PE; Prefer CFM

Experience: 8-15 years of Civil work experience

Position Summary:
This position will include responsibility for the technical completion of civil engineering projects and work activities such as municipal market, residential design, site work development and other projects as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Able to work in the municipal market with street/road design, storm water management, water line distribution, sanitary sewer collection systems, utility relocations and coordination.
• Site work development experience should include site layout, grading, drainage/detention, utility layout, erosion control and detailing of projects.
• Should possess extensive experience in hydrology, flood plain analysis, HEC-RAS and preferably have CFM certification.Can produce opinion of probable costs, develop specifications and project schedules.
• Manages the work of other Engineers, Designers and CAD personnel for the completion of projects.
• Maintains contact with client personnel to ensure that work being performed meets the clients needsCoordinates work activities with government agencies as requestedMentors new and less skilled Project Engineers.
• Able to work with multi-disciplined architectural and engineering teams.Completes assignments on time and on budget.Occasional travel required.
