Job Title: Java Developer
Location : Fort Wayne, Indiana
Duration: 5+month contract
Skills and Competencies:
Core Java
UNIX/Linux system administration experience required.
Database experience (Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, DB2) preferred. Prefer Oracle.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, problem solving skills and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Develop applications using modern, high level, programming languages.
Support existing internally developed applications and interfaces.
Facilitate, via software development, data migrations: Consolidate, Coalesce, Count, data from heterogeneous sources, Work with data sourced in RDBMS to delimited flat-files.
Define, document, and conduct Software Development tasks to include: Requirements Gathering, Application architecture diagrams, Design Documents, Create UML Diagrams (Sequence, Class, etc, Test cases, Continuous Integration, Bug Tracking.
Consult with various internal and external business units and partners on software development and design: Data Interface Protocols, Managing Data Integrity, Managing Data Security, Diagnosing and Troubleshooting issues.
