Web (JavaScript) Developer Location:Jacksonville, FL

Budget $: 100,000 - 200,000

Responsibilities

  • Develop new user-facing mobile/desktop responsive landing pages, websites and application features
  • Unit testing to ensure accuracy
  • Utilize JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and JSON. to develop dynamic and engaging web applications, consistent across all browsers and platforms
  • Ensure high-performance and availability, managing all technical aspects of the front end
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with designers, product managers and developers
  • Work will primarily be on building the front-end, but will have opportunities to assist back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting

Qualifications

  • Proficient understanding of application code and web markup, including XML, HTML5, CSS preprocessors, and JavaScript
  • Good understanding of SEM/SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, ability to develop positive, professional relationships with a diverse group of employees
  • Salesforce Development Framework experience a plus
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Dreamweaver) a plus

Education/Licensure/Certification

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical field

Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • Minimum 5 years of software development experience as a front-end developer and minimum of 8 years in web development required
  • Prior work experience on front end technologies involving advanced JavaScript implementation, and jQuery
  • Experience designing and developing responsive design web applications
  • Experience developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions
  • Experience with browser differences and limitations, and client-side performance optimization
  • Experience with RESTful APIs to connect to back-end services
  • Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git, SVN and TFS
