NCFAST requires the services of a technical architect to serve as a WebSphereApplication Server Engineer for NC FAST Projects.

TheNC Department of Health and Human Services seeks contractor resources to assistwith the development and implementation of NC Families Accessing Servicesthrough Technology (NC FAST) as a WebSphere Application Server Engineer. Thisposition will act as a technical lead responsible for the support, design,installation, configuration, monitoring, including performance and capacityplanning of WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and Web servers that run on AIX.

Responsibilitiesinclude supporting, analyzing, and making performance or capacityrecommendations as necessary, providing technical guidance and leadership to teammembers, and serving as the escalation point for all issues not resolved by theother support staff. This position is also responsible to analyze all aspectsof the existing infrastructure and recommend modifications that will enhancesystem reliability, availability, serviceability and scalability, performlogical and physical design (HA, multi-jvm, and multi-cell), research new anddeveloping technology and their applicability to the environments, develop anddocument existing or new procedures as well as creating and maintaining projectdocumentation. Duties also include providing operational support for WAS, IBMHTTP Server and other products supported by the middleware team.

Thisposition must deliver project based work to agreed target dates as well asparticipate in rotating on-call support 24x7 and be available to work weekendsand/or holidays, as necessary.

 REQURED SKILLS:

 

·        Required Experiencesupporting products running on AIX, Linux or other UNIX variants.

·        Required 7years: Experience working in the technical architecture field

·        Required 7years: Experience supporting production java application server environmentsusing IBM WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat, Oracle AppServer, or iPlanet.

·        Required 7years: Experience using and configuring Dynatrace Application Monitoring, orsimilar tool.

·        Required 7years: Experience with enterprise level monitoring tools, performance testingand tuning.

·        Required 3years: Two or more years experience with shell scripting, Jython, JACL, and/orPERL scripting.

·        Required 7years: Experience and proficiency with operating system utilities such as vi,top/topas, crontab, nslookup, ifconfig, and ssh.

·        Required 7years: Experience with LDAP Directory integration and Oracle/DB2 integration.

·        Required 7years: Security experience including SSL certificates, hardening, and PENtests.

·        Highly desired Prefer AIX or Linux certification.

·        Highly desired Prefer IBM WebSphere Application Server certification.

·        Highly desired Prefer experience with DynaTrace or other applicationperformance monitoring tools.
