QlikView developer

Summary
Client is looking for a developer to build the foundational layers of this application environment to serve the growing and changing business needs now and in the future. QlikView BI is an organizational tool that will be used in almost all areas of the business with data discovery and business analytics

Responsibilities:
Create QlikView scripts and applications to extract data from all types of transactional systems
Create QlikView scripts and applications to take extracted data and create multiple QlikView data models to serve the user-facing BI applications
Troubleshoot technical and data issues within the QlikView environment
Work with business analysts on technical specifications for new BI initiatives
Develop QlikView scripts to help system administrators audit and analyze data integrity across application databases
Develop visualizations and interactions within the QlikView applications
Provide technical leadership in long term design of the QlikView BI application across the organization
Establish standards and conventions around all data elements and models incorporated in the QlikView BI environment
Build and maintain a library of standard calculated expressions to be used by other developers and power users within QlikView applications

Required Skills
Must have 2-3yrs of QlikView scripting and development experience.
Strong knowledge of relational and de-normalized data architectures
Strong knowledge of data types and corresponding syntaxes
Experience building and maintaining large scale data environments
Experience with interpreted scripting languages (preferably VBSCRIPT)
Strong technical documentation skills with an emphasis on Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD) and other data modeling design standards
Experience with database connectivity protocols including ODBC and windows server data source administration
Experience developing charting and data visualizations
