Responsibilities:
  • As a Lead Architect, you will analyze, influence, and translate business requirements into architectural blueprints that align with our overall technology vision.
  • You may also be asked to contribute to the global architecture strategies.
  • You will use your technical knowledge to define architecture that meets short and long-term requirements.
  • The Lead Architect also creates technical road maps and solutions in alignment with the organizations long-range technology vision.
  • You will also contribute tothe development of strategic planning for the department and communicate a clear, concise strategic vision.
  • You must understand technological requirements necessary to design solutions as well as the teams capability of accommodating those requirements.
  • As a Lead Architect, you will guard the organization from technological pitfa lls by applying expertise to differentiate high impact from low-value or fad trends in design.
  • You must collaborate with other Architects, Engineers and business and IT staff to provide guidance and oversight across multiple solutions to ensure that the technologies are secure, inter operate, connect appropriately and support the company vision and strategy.
  • You will also actively coach, mentor and teach others, using influence, expertise and leadership to support other teams as they implement solutions.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
  • Collaborates across IT leadership on strategies for improving time to market of applications across various product lines
  • Assess technology and market trends to identify and present options for meeting business requirements through the implementation of new technologies and existing technologies
  • Designs and drives implementation of systems architecture in a dynamic and still-emerging environment through collaboration with other software and infrastructure architects
  • Reviews,collaborates and advises on architectural deliverables created by other software and infrastructure architects to ensure compliance with overall systems architecture design and strategyPartners with software and infrastructure architects to understand, influence and advocate IT strategies, policies, principles and practices that guide technology decisions for the organizationCoaches and mentors less experienced software architects and engineers
  • Understands the overall business road map regarding operations and processes
Qualifications:
Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field
  • Must be committed to incorporating security in to all decisions and daily job responsibilities
  • Must be experienced in open source, Internet and web technologies, systems architecture creation and implementation
  • Must have at least 8 years of experience working as an Architect in a technical nature in a large technical environment Must have the ability to work in leading-edge, advanced system architectures.
  • Must have experience in Agile methodology and using JIRA Must have experience evaluating new technologies Must have at least 8 years of experience of broad, relevant technical knowledge, skills and experience and can also go deep in selected technology areas as needed
  • Must have proven experience in Java, Ajax, HTML, CSS, JPA, MySQL, Hibernate, Web Services, XML, Schema, Eclipse, ERD Tools, Tomcat, Guice (or other dependency injection framework), Wicket (or other component-based framework), ActiveMQ (or other messaging experience), Mule (or other ESB experience)
  • Must have experience with-large scale data-processing components including Mongo DB
  • Must have experience with cloud-based computing models including container-based deployment architectures and the DevOps approach to building and operating a large-scale software-as-a-service platform
  • Must have exceptional technical expertise in software development disciplines including design, coding, testing, deployment, and software management and integration
  • Must possess a deep understanding of OO design patterns
  • Must possess persuasive, collaborative business acumen with the ability to drive business partners strategically
  • Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal Must possess initiative, results-oriented drive and a solid work ethic requiring minimal direction
  • Must possess effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills Must have resiliency in the face of changing priorities and requirements Must have excellent time-management and prioritization skills
