- The ETL Developer will support the Business Analytics and Reporting Manager and other IT groups by extracting and manipulating data from mission-critical system databases and third-party data sources and exporting it to various data warehouses and data marts.
- This position will report to the Director of Information Technology.Gathering, compiling and synthesizing information into a data warehouse for decision making and reporting.
- Supporting the development and management of a data warehouse comprised of data imported from Oracle 11g Enterprise, Microsoft SQL server databases and various flat files imported from third party systems.
- Migrating data using ETL technologies.Participating in possible overnight and weekend support during maintenance windows.
- Reviewing business requirements and current data models to develop a framework that supports BI reporting/Data Warehouse.
- Identifying gaps and developing tactical and strategic plans to support implementation of initiatives by working with a wide spectrum of key vendors and internal personnel.
- This incorporates using innovative approaches to better serve the customer as well as improve processes.
- Monitoring data warehouse performance and size with Oracle DBAs.
- Qualified Candidates Should Be a Focused And Efficient Team Player, As Well As HaveProficiency in Oracle PL SQL, Stored Procedures, Stored Functions, external table manipulation.
- Experience with performance tuning SQL .Experience with Oracle Data Integration (ODI) or similar data integration tools a plus.
- Experience in process design, data profiling and analysis, data quality testing, data modeling, and entity design.
- Experience with importing/exporting flat text files (CSV, TXT, TAB delimited, EXCEL, etc.).
- General understanding of monitoring and analyzing database structures for efficiency and growth.
- Experience creating Cron jobs.
- Ability to produce concise Technical Documentation detailing all aspects of the project.
- Strong experience with major operating systems such as UNIX, LINUX, Windows.Java, VB.net or other programming experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment, with short deadlines, and high customer expectations.
- Ability to meet deadlines.Strong interpersonal skills, team work, technical writing ability, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Basic understanding of cellular networks or networking fundamentals a plus.
- Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence or similar enterprise level reporting system a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored Procedures and Views a plus.
