ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as an evangelist for our mission, brand, and content through thought leadership, content creation, and digital operations.
- Work closely with the Director of Communications and Digital Campaigns & Strategies
- Manager to implement and refine our comprehensive web strategy.
- Manage numerous Wordpress-powered properties and work with peers to keep sites fresh and functional
- Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
- Create and maintain web/software documentation
- Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site
- Cooperate with graphic designer to match visual design intent
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases into web experiences
- Gathering requirements and project specifications
- Attend and participate in project kickoff meetings with colleagues
- Develop user friendly and intuitive web enabled front-ends to display reports, graphs, and metrics
- Work with various APIs, including Facebook API, Twitter API, Salesforce API, etc.
- Document operational configurations, processes and procedures
- Integrate designs into a content management system
- Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
- Working with the team to define functional end-user requirements and architectural requirements for specified system design
- Regularly report on analytics of these sites
- Other tasks as assigned
- Proficient in WordPress platform, including a solid grasp of themes, API and ability to handle maintenance, installation, backups, etc.
- Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and APIs.
- Hands on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc ..) is needed to be successful in this position.
- Familiarity with at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, JavaScript or Ruby on Rails
- A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
- Deep understanding of web-related behaviors and trends, and the ability to optimize for them.
- Experience with data-driven SEO analysis and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools
- Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills
- Experience as a Front End/UI Developer building web applications using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Creation of site layout/user interface from provided design concepts by using best practices.
- Solid understanding of web application development processes, from the layout/user interface to relational database structures.
- Ability to communicate directly with peers, managers, and clients while leading development to a completed and successful solution.
- Skilled in pixel perfect frontend coding> Strong communication and writing skills.
- Degree in computer science or a related field
