- Develop and unit-test with Ruby on Rails web app stackCode new product features in Ruby on the FreeWheel product platform
- Develop automated unit tests to validate product featuresCode new tools and applications in support of Free Wheel business linesCode UI features in javascript
- Understand and improve existing Ruby on Rails code baseUnderstand the MRM and RPM codeUnderstand the business logic driving the product platformWrite technical documentationInterface with global engineering, product and operations teams to incorporate their innovations and vice versaWork with different teams to design technical solutions
- Follow updates in different Free Wheel system components and incorporate those updates into Ruby codeConduct tech design and code reviews
- Bachelor or Masters Degree in Computer Science or similar field of study
- 4+ years professional software engineering experience
- 2+ years web-stack experience developing in Ruby or Ruby on Rails (RoR)Rich experience with HTML/JavaScript/CSS, familiar with at least one JS frameworkExperience with SQL is required
- Expertise in HTML5 / browsers is a plusExperience in web protocols, security mechanism and architecture is a plus
- Demonstrated ability in handling mission-critical, high-performance Internet products with complex featuresKnown for being a smart, analytical thinker who approaches their work with logic and enthusiasmDetail oriented, flexible and can work well in a global team-oriented environment
