Database Administrator 3 

Education/Experience 
o Experience with WebLogic server installation, configuration, tuning and administration; J2EE application integration with WebLogic 
o Experience with SOA and BPM components; integration with other application services technologies 
o Associates degree in computer programming or relevant field required. Bachelor degree preferred 
o 5-7+ years experience required 

Responsibility level 
o Exercises independent judgment with direction from supervisor 

Skills 
o Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required) 
o Ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required) 
o Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback  
o Knowledge of computer software, such as SQL, Visual Basic, Oracle, etc (Required) 

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: 
o Support the current installations, new installations, upgrades, configuration and management of a growing list of Oracle Aplication servers as technology moves to Oracle Weblogic architecture. 
o Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications 
o Modify existing databases and database management systems 
o Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations 
o Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project
