Responsibilities Own and manage server-side development for web and mobile projects including new features, product updates, and new product ideation/prototyping Architect and develop APIs for both internal and external use Work with established APIs to integrate into projects Work closely with other engineers and management Qualifications 3-5 years experience with server-side/back-end development Substantial experience working with Javascript (Node), Ruby, Python or similar languages Expertise in designing, building, and deployi ng RESTful web services Experience scaling applications ideally running on AWS EC2/RDS/S3 Acute awareness of various technologies and the ability to assess which is appropriate on a project by project basis Understanding of security best practices and commitment to keeping user data safe Strong organization skills, including managing your own time and projects Desire to be part of a team that works together to figure out a plan and execute it week after week
