Must have 7 years of experience working within large IT environments and at least five years in an architect-level role with primary focus on database technology. Must have a minimum of 5 years of solid hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of administrations of database technology such as SQL, Oracle, noSQL and MySQL. Must have minimum 3 years of solid experience as Hadoop/BigData Database Administrator Must have solid experience in deploying BigData/Hadoop technology leveraging Data modeling tools 2 years DBA experience with multi-terabyte Hadoop/MapReduce, YARN Infrastructure and associated Apache projects 2 years DBA experience with multi-gigabyte OLTP or multi-terabyte Data Warehouse databases SQL skills (including analytical functions) required Strong experience in UNIX required, including command line editors, scripting (shell, Python, Perl, etc.) Experience with a variety of file formats (XML, JSON, unstructured data, etc.) Star Schema Database design and data modeling background required Experience in database performance tuning required Experience in database upgrades required Experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including: requirements gathering, design, coding, testing and production support Other Experience Preferred Functional knowledge of related partner products and design best practices for BigData/Hadoop and BI Technologies such as Cloudera, Hortonworks, Experience with cloud computing platforms such as MicroSoft Azure and Amazon EC2 Experience in transforming on premise environment to cloud technology Knowledge of AIX, Linux, and Windows OS is a plus Familiarity with Hortonworks, Analytical experience with spreadsheet analysis, public presentations, and data management Certification as Hadoop Developer Certification as Hadoop Administrator
