Role:E Commerce- Web Designer Location: Indianapolis, IN PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties and responsibilities are essential in the daily execution of the position: Responsible for projects from concept through implementation including graphic design, creating prototypes/mock-ups, development, coding, testing, and debugging. Implement the vision of the online experience; including design, informational architecture & brand identity, ensuring consistency across the entire visual presentation. Work collaboratively with marketing colleagues, agencies, IT, and other key stakeholders to capture design requirements and translate them into exciting design solutions that drive business results. Work closely with ecommerce merchandise team to plan out messaging and align creative work ahead of delivery times. As needed, provide support for design of ongoing marketing channels including email, website, promotions, display/ affiliate marketing banners and seasonal content releases. EXPERIENCE: Ideal candidate will have ecommerce web design experience at other top online retailers or marketing agencies. 3+ years of web design experience with a phenomenal online design portfolio of work, preferably with 2+ years experience working in an e-commerce business. Expert user of Dreamweaver, Photoshop, CSS-Based Table-Less Layouts, HTML (including hand coding), FLASH (Actionscript) and Illustrator. Competent in JavaScript integration and manipulation into final product, including some Server Side Scripting. Ability to ensure cross-browser compatibility through knowledge of Firefox, IE 6, 7, 8, Chrome and Safari. Elegant graphic, typography and web design skills with interactive user experience. Strong communication and project management skills. Bachelor\'s degree/BFA or its equivalent in Web Design. Prior online web design experience. Strong knowledge/background related to web creative and associated concepts. Knowledge/Experience with the following programs/languages: Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX Other position requirements General understanding of the Internet and the concept of an enterprise website. Experience with content management systems is preferable.
