Job Type: Contract to Hire

Will analyze data requests, document business requirements and design reporting solutions related to BW
Independently gathers, analyzes, and identifies opportunities for enhancements, works closely with Business and Technology partners to seek and provide smart resolution to business issues
Performance tuning for high volume and complex information delivery scenarios
Adhere to BI/BW best practices and standards to maintain a stable Business Information environment
Monitor BW runs, communicate and troubleshoot issues related to BW
Perform routine program modifications, performance tuning, problem solving, debugging, and unit testing
Optimize end-user data access response times
Design processes to minimize data quality risks and proactively identify potential data issues
Perform analysis and design; write technical specifications; configuration and programming in the SAP/BI environment, including testing and implementation
Prepare project related documentation (functional design, technical design, test scripts) during the different stages of a project

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

Ã?Â§Bachelor\\\'s degree in Business (or Management), Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required

Experience

Minimum 3 years of technical experience with SAP BI/BW. Experience in BW 7.3 and higher preferred
Experience in BW on HANA preferred
Minimum 3+ years of experience with the Business Objects suite of products (Including 4.x experience)
Solid working knowledge of the Information Design Tool and the Central Management Console
Knowledge of configuration of BW data objects including InfoObjects, InfoSources, Transformations, ODS, Cubes, Info Providers and multi providers
Experience with BI/BW Upgrade projects
Extensive experience in reconciling ECC data with BW data
Knowledge of ABAP and SAP query development a plus

Other Key Qualities and Skills

Demonstrated understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and practices
Demonstrated understanding of the functions of a data warehouse in the corporate environment
Demonstrated understanding data warehousing processes, such as dimensional data modeling and data acquisition methodologies, data staging, cleansing, and transformation
Proven track record of developing and managing ETL and DW deliverables
Strong analytical skills
Strong process orientation with significant attention to detail
Effective interpersonal skills with ability to participate in and lead \\\"Virtual\\\" teams
Knowledge of relational databases, data warehousing, business intelligence and CRM tools
Experience in working in an aggressive timeline
