Role: Senior Software Engineer Location: Knoxville, TNDuties and Responsibilities Lead the efforts of development teams, including internal and external/vendor team membersDrive continuous improvement in Client software development efforts by instilling best-of-breed engineering practicesDesign, develop, modify, and implement middleware software components on application servers to be used on web or n-tier applicationDevelop and assess technical architecture, design, and frameworkContribute to the overall software development lifecycle including requirements gathering/analysis, design, development technologies, release/version control, testing and deploymentPerform application testing of components, modifications, and overall systemsAssist in task planning, estimation, scheduling and staffingReview the work of other peers on project teams and mentor junior developersWork in close partnership with other team members and other teamsSkills/Qualifications Understanding of J2EE including open source, n-tier architecture, object oriented Analysis and Design Fundamental understanding of web applications, data models and relational and noSQL databases is required Knowledge of JavaScript, including frameworks (Backbone.js, Ember.js, AngularJS) is strongly preferred. Proficiency in general scripting languages like Groovy and Python is beneficial
