Job Description

Overview

  • IT team is seeking a skilled and experienced .Net technical lead developer to join our growing IT team.
  • The primary focus for this role will be to lead a technical offshore and onshore team responsible for enhacement and maintenance of custom applications.
  • The position is an active lead role where time will be divided between communication, and collaboration with stakeholders to set the direction and plan the activities of the development team and work on the assigned development activities along with triaging production issues

Responsibilities

  • Engage in brain-storming, planning and design-review meetings with key stakeholders to understand and address business challenges.
  • Establish a deep understanding of business processes from key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to and/or lead the development of technical design which support robust solutions that address business challenges; create technical specifications and review test plans.
  • Perform development using SQL, .Net, SSRS, and SSIS. Where appropriate, develop/implement â??proofs of conceptâ? to validate designs.
  • Have good understading of Azure or cloud based development
  • Work closely with 3rd party resources to lead application development, test and deployment activities.
  • Participate in enterprise application implementations & upgrades, taking on roles beyond that of a developer when necessary, including business analysis and testing.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve development standards & practices, technical designs & architecture and governance.
  • Work closely with all team members (technical and business) to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Consistently and effectively communicate with, and manage expectations of all team members (business and technical).
  • Assist with support & maintenance of existing enterprise applications; collaborate with, and act as escalation resource for, network services and service desk support teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent degree.
  • 5-7 years relevant professional software development experience
  • Solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming and database fundamentals
  • Experience with the following additional tools and technologies; .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, HTML, Microsoft visual studio, Microsoft SQL Server, Report Manager, Microsoft Office 2010/2013.
