Sr. Manager Revenue Accounting Loc: Sunnyvale, CA

Budget $: 100,000 - 200,000

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical revenue recognition expertise under ASC 985-605 and related non-software revenue recognition guidelines (ASC 605-25)
  • Review and summarize customer agreements with non-standard terms impacting revenue recognition including accounting write-ups as required
  • Participate in the ERP project including new revenue tool Point of contact for the quarterly external revenue audit and SOX testing.
  • Ensure schedules are provided timely and accurately and questions are resolved quickly Will be key participant in adopting new revenue rules ASC 606
  • Responsible for the revenue monthly and quarterly close process ensuring deadlines are met
  • Review monthly journal entries and reconciliations for areas of responsibility
  • Ensure compliance and accounting in accordance with all companys policies, business practices, authoritative literature and U.S.
  • GAAP Assist with preparing certain revenue sections of the 10-K and 10-QSpecial ad hoc projects as requested
Requirements
  • 7+ years relevant work experience; with 3+ years of managerial experience is required A CPA and prior experience at a Big 4 accounting firm is a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of software revenue recognition (ASC 985-605) and related non-software revenue recognition guidelines (ASC 605-25) is key
  • Must be able to thrive in a dynamic, high growth environment while maintaining utmost integrity and be able to deal with quickly changing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with all levels of the company including the CFO and CEO
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills are a must
  • Knowledge of Oracle, RevPro, and SalesForce.com is a plus

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance, or Business Administration
