Responsibilities:

Provide Open Stack implementation and support.Use Open Stack Enterprise to deploy applications, systems, and databases. Working knowledge of the basic cloud infrastructure (IaaS) components.
Install and configure VMWare ESX hosts and virtual environments.
Configures, monitors and maintains Linux and SAN systems to provide optimum performance and system availability.Install, and configure x86 hardware platforms.
Create and implement scripts for Cloud platforms as well as monitoring and alerting purposes.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to system performance, network and storage.
Gather performance and data usage statistics for capacity planning and reporting.Troubleshooting production issues and performing On-Call duties, at times.Configuring monitoring tools such as Solarwinds, HP Openview, or Nagios.
Generate and maintain documentation of the UNIX, SAN and Storage environments.
Patch and maintain UNIX, Storage and SAN systems at supported levels.
Design, Implement and maintain system security across UNIX platforms.
Design and maintain operating system backup solutions for system recovery and disaster recovery .
Mentor and train junior/mid administrators.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree or equivalent education, i.e., military, trade school, certificate, etc. and 10+ years of relevant experience.Bachelors degree preferred.
2+ years with automation tools for server provisioning and Open Source tools or Vendor Based Tools
2+ years developing automation workflows and routines, using Open Source or Vendor Based Tools
3+ years experience with Linux, server automation and scripting3+ years ESX VMWare knowledge and experience
Experience with Puppet and/or Chef a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Customer service driven Strong team player Applicable industry certifications highly desired
