Jr. Web Applications Developer Location:

• Seattle, WAESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Develops, tests, and implements software applications using standardized methodologies and industry best practices.
• Provides technical support and troubleshoots applications issues and bugs.Assist with requirements definition, functional and technical application design.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and standards.Facilitates knowledge transfer to development and support team members.
• Maintain effective relationships with user department personnel.Participates in design and code reviews.
• Follows guidelines and suggestions to improve quality and comply with coding standards and best practices.
• Analyze existing application design, architecture and code to improve quality, mitigate issues and improve performance and functionality.

• BS or BA degree in information systems, computer science, business administration or related work experience1 to 3+ years of commercial or enterprise large scale applications development in a team environmentWorking knowledge and expertise with multiple Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) and industry standard development methodologies.
• Working knowledge and experience with integrated testing /test driven development processesExcellent documentation and knowledge transfer skillsExcellent communication, organizational and analytical skillsAbility to multi-task and handle changing prioritiesExperience in working on Linux/Unix platformsProblem-solving experience and troubleshooting of programs written by others

• Working experience with higher level object oriented programming languages such as Java, C++, C#Experience with web application development technologies (JSP, Java Script, AJAX, CSS, HTML, XML)Experience with the development methodologies (Agile SCRUM), development tools (Eclipse, Subversion, Jira) and applications platforms (JBoss, Websphere, Tomcat)Working experience and expertise with Struts 2, Spring and HibernateWorking knowledge of Data Modeling, Relational Databases and database designWorking experience with multiple operating systems and scripting languages
