Construction Billing/Payroll Clerk LOC;Sunnyvale, California

Budget $: 100,000 - 200,000

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years payroll experience required construction experience a plus
  • High degree of accuracy and discretion.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  • Familiar with general accounting principles and practices.
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team and be willing to go the extra mile at all times.
  • Sage CRE 300, M Job Time, and Bamboo HR experience a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Weekly payroll processing for a company of 120-165 employees
  • Receive time cards, weekly, from remote field employees and from office employees.
  • Follow up with employees expeditiously and professionally to resolve issues of lateness, accuracy, completeness, etc.
  • Review timecards for accuracy, completeness, and proper coding.
  • Ensure that labor is accurately entered, weekly, into job costing/accounting software (MJob Time) by pre-designated deadline.
  • Processing of all payroll tax payments, garnishments, and union 401k
  • Track employee contributions towards benefits premium, 401K deductions/payments/loans
  • Union reporting and certified payroll
  • Responsible for all payroll returns: ACA, 940, 941, DE9, W-2, W-3
  • Reconcile payroll weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually
  • Handle correspondence for benefits audits, unemployment requests, and verification of employment
  • Provide employee assistance with payroll self-service
  • Manage employee files in HRIS (BambooHR)
  • Providing support with client billings, lien releases, schedule of values and estimates
