- A Front End Developer has technical expertise with HTML, CSS, and either UX/Interaction Design or DOM focused JavaScript beyond what is needed for a particular project or feature.
- This team member is aware of, experimenting with, and implementing the latest trends and best practices. Front End Developers build the UI portion of a project in a modular, reusable, and maintainable way, while documenting the process and code.
- They set the code standards and best practices for their team and enforce them through code reviews.
- ResponsibilitiesWrite HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in existing and new productsDevelop new features within the framework and standards of the teamWork closely with Product Designers to create user-focused interactions from static designs and wireframesDeliver recommendations to technical and non-technical audiencesProvide options for interactive design and content organizationBuild prototypesRequirementsExperience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptEfficient using Adobe Photoshop and/or SketchExperience with CSS preprocessors and CSS architectural principles (ex. OOCSS, BEM, SMACSS, etc.)
