Role: VP, Application Engineering & Business Intelligence

Job description

• This will be responsible for the vision, strategy and management of Applications and Business Intelligence.
  
• The ideal candidate will oversee the entire function from creating, designing and improving SaaS App Integration, Custom Apps, Data Warehouse and Dashboards as well as provide leadership insights for Business Intelligence.
• The role will lead, motivate and drive a team to excellence in all aspects of Application Engineering and BI within the organization.
  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and oversee the BI team by managing priories to ensure business objectives are realistic, achievable and employedDirect and establish standards and procedures to enhance business practices and goals
  
• Keep abreast with ever-changing operations trends to introduce and implement updates, upgrades, new product, solution options and best practices
  
• Monitor risk management; Collaborate with cross-functional team to identify and implement areas of opportunity for application development standards and processes
• Plan and enforce security and system standards; ensure reliability and compliance within company guidelines
• Design and ensure disaster recovery procedures are in place and can be well executed to minimize the impact to the businessReview and analyze methodologies and service quality to provide recommendations, roadmaps and timelines for improvement
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors degree in computer science or Technology or related discipline10- 15 years of hands on experience in BI and Application Engineering and 5 plus years managing a teamInnovative team leader with a strategic vision to build from bottom up
  
• Strong analytical problem solving and crisis management skills
  
• Ability to communicate effectively, challenge and motivate all levels of staff
  
• Solid background in developing and inspiring team to innovate and achieve excellence
  
• Experience with Dashboards, Data Warehouse, Custom Apps and Saas App IntegrationFlexibility to travel 20-30 percent
  
• Strong experience in Workday HCM and Finance, SnapLogic, SQL Server, Anaplan, Tableau, and WideOrbit
