iSeries Computer Operator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enters commands to integrate and operate equipment, in accordance with established routines and instructions.
  
• Possesses general iSeries, Windows, and Help Desk Support working knowledge.
  
• Reviews output data for accuracy and completeness, and makes distribution as designated.
  
• Enters commands to correct errors and notifies supervisor of errors or equipment stoppage and adequacy of scheduling.
  
• Records problems which occurred, such as down time, and actions taken, and annotates operator logs as required.
  
• Answers telephone calls to assist computer users encountering problems in a courteous and professional manner.
  
• Must be dependable and reliable, and attend work regularly based on the assigned schedule.
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  
• Must be able to work extended hours and /or weekends as neededOther duties may be assigned.
