Essential Duties andResponsibilities: Collaborate with other development and integration teammembers to ensure Java technologies are properly developed Develop businesslogic using Java/J2EE technologies and publish them as Web Services Support andmaintain web-based SOA applications software Be familiar with integrating theweb services in an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) layer Perform problemidentification and resolution activities, involving multiple teams necessary toresolve the system problems based on severity/priority Determine the root causewith the objective of preventing recurrence of the failed system and ensurethat the cause is not present in other processes/systems Update and maintainsoftware and support documentation as needed Must be a team player with theability to interact with customer, business and Support associates to completenumerous ad-hoc tasks Demonstrate commitment to providing customer-focusedquality service Support assigned systems with on-call availability and respondwithin agreed upon time frames Perform other duties as deemed relevant basedupon experience to fulfill customer needs Specific knowledge, skills andabilities: Bachelor\\\'s Degree in computer science, Engineering or a related fieldis required 6+ years experience developing in a widely used object orientedprogramming language preferably Java 6+ years of demonstrated experience inJava development 3+ years of experience working with Eclipse IDE, SOAP clienttools, and setting of Maven build and deployment Strong experience in deployingweb services in JBoss Proficient with Java/J2EE stack development and thefollowing technologies: Web Services, XML, SOAP Thorough knowledge of Java SElibraries, use of collections and high-level concurrency Strong knowledge ofObject Oriented Design (OOD) and Object Oriented Programming (OOP), designpatterns and multi-threading Experience with Hibernate and JDBC for connectionservices to Relational Database environments (i.e. DB2) Working knowledge andexperience troubleshooting Java applications deployed in multi-tieredarchitecture required Experience in Windows, Unix and Aix operating systemsExcellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearlyarticulate to all project members and stakeholders Must be a team player thatworks well with technical and non-technical resources Knowledge of Rules Engineand Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) Financial industry background
