Role: Training Manager Location: Milwaukee,WI Job Duties: Long term product & sales training strategy and plan implementation. Work with various departments to determine product and sales training needs. Work with various departments/co-workers to ensure proper content and deliverables in training materials. Develop, implement, and track training programs to help reach/meet corporate sales objectives (i.e. increase product, industry/application, competitive, and sales knowledge/skills). Develop all training materials (hard copy, electronic copy, internet based, etc.) in a timely fashion. Travel (min. 25%) to customer or distributor locations to lead remote training programs. Stay current on product, industry, and competition by coordinating with internal resources (Product Management, Sales Management, Industry Management), as well as external resources (trade shows, seminars, etc.). Preparation of capital expenditure and operating budget for training Participation in management meetings. Research and implement new ways for communicating and delivering our training programs. Responsible for contracting, coordinating, implementing, and maintaining outside training services. Observe and communicate weaknesses and deficiencies in internal controls. Develop and maintain demo/training equipment (with input from Product, Marketing, and Sales Management). Maintain employee training records. Various other duties assigned by President, National Sales Manager, Marketing Manager, VP of Finance and Operations, and Human Resources Manager. Desired Skills and Experience Minimum 5 years experience in sales and/or training in the automation industry. 4-year electrical engineering degree with emphasis on industrial automation and control. Knowledge of and experience with PLCs/programming, fieldbus protocols, relays, signal conditioners, power suppies, terminal blocks, and other industrial automation/control components. Proficiency in MS office applications (Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
