Conference Room Manager and Scheduler

? Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Serve as technical and operational support personnel to the various functions that communicate

specified information through audiovisual means.

? Work involves the management and scheduling of the various Conference Rooms through

Microsoft Outlook and PDF forms.

? Duties also include scheduling/repairing all existing A/V equipment and assist in installing new

A/V equipment.

? Receive reservation requirements from organizations and schedule and coordinate room

requirements

? Use scheduling software such as Microsoft Outlook and Adobe Acrobat and provide training to

customers when needed

? Review and evaluate requirements and recommend plan(s) for obtaining desired results or

objectives of the operations.

? Provide technical and professional support in connection with the AV operations, applications,

and administration.

? Oversee specific audiovisual functions and systems used for multimedia presentations involving

internal and external equipment.

? This effort requires the set-up and operation of audio and video equipment and systems used

for producing live and recorded events to include video projectors, video cameras, recording

devices, streaming video media system, AMX controllers, satellite receivers, sound systems,

plasma displays, and video computer systems, as well as their associated wiring and cable

connections.

? Participate in interagency meetings and conferences as required concerning the planning, set-up

and operations of the audiovisual presentation equipment and systems.

? Make recommendations based on interpretation of regulations and guidelines.

? Advise and assist users in monitoring progress in view of agenda/schedules and time limitations.

? Operate, adjust, and monitor VTC equipment console (which controls operation of cameras and

other audio/video equipment) as needed during the conference.

? Troubleshoot operational problems such as loss of audio and/or video transmission/reception

capabilities and audiovisual equipment malfunctions within the facility.


? Coordinate corrective actions with network, maintenance contractors, other VTC specialists, and

users to restore satisfactory conduct of the conferences.

? Review audiovisual presentation methods and procedures of his/her assigned department and

recommend technical changes based on judgment and experience.

? Assist in updating and developing policies, procedures, and technical solutions for the efficient

operation of the facilities VTC systems.

? Effectively manage, monitor, and maintain the efficiency of such systems with the ability to

setup, diagnose and effect onsite repair of multimedia systems components.

? Assist in developing cost effective solutions consistent with budgetary, logistical and

technological constraints.
