JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Systems Engineers role is primarily responsible for the deployment and ongoing maintenance and operational management of the various infrastructure technologies deployed at Client. In addition, this position will be responsible for providing 2nd level and/or 3rd level support including technical guidance to IT teams and users as required. This position will join a team responsible for compute and storage infrastructure, telephony systems, call center platforms including datacenter network and branch office connectivity.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement, manage and support the following Technologies:

  • Must have Senior Engineer hands on experience working with the provisioning and supporting of Virtualized Windows Operating Systems
  • Must have strong hands on experience supporting several or all of the below products:
  • Microsoft - Active Directory, DNS, File, Print, Exchange etc
  • Virtualized Platforms Dell VxRail Hyper Converged Infrastructure, VxRail Manager
  • Virtualization - VmWare vSphere Enterprise Plus, Vrealize Operations Manager, SRM, VmWare Vsan
  • Storage - IBM V7000 SAN, Hyper Converged Virtual SAN, Dell EMC Unity NAS
  • VDI - Citrix infrastructure (XenApp 7.5) with 2000+ users, Netscaler
  • Storage - IBM V7000 SAN, Hyper Converged Virtual SAN, Dell EMC Unity NAS
  • Rubrik Backup Manager for system backup and recovery
  • Must have Deep technical knowledge and experience in provisioning cloud solutions(AWS/Azure) with preference given to candidates with experience in Amazon Web Services
  • Manage related monitoring and alerting tools
  • Ensure that IT security is monitored and maintained throughout the infrastructure, both internal and external facing devices/applications/services, etc.
  • Ensure that all of the above comply with the appropriate corporate policies (i.e.: Security, Operations, Incident and Change Management, System Development Life Cycle)
  • Maintain configuration control of all assigned systems in accordance with established procedures
  • Understand new business requirements then research, recommend, test and integrate technologies into the existing infrastructure to support that business requirement
  • Document technical requirements, justification, recommendations, costing, resource requirement, time and materials etc. to address business requests
  • Rollout approved technical solutions in the data center and across the Bayshore environment. This includes all documentation, planning, scheduling, risk management plans, thorough testing, clear and timely communication to all stake holders, testing and signoffs
  • Provide second level and/or third level support to all other IT areas such as, Technical Support team, Development group etc. as well as holding cross training sessions for these groups to help support new technologies before they are deployed

QUALIFICATIONS
Industry certifications in one or more of the following:

  • Microsoft - MCSE Server Infrastructure certification
  • VMWare - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
  • AWS advanced certification in Solutions Architect, SysOps administrator, Security Engineering

Experience

  • Minimum of 5-7 years in a senior technical role supporting mentioned Bayshore products and platforms or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-7 years provisioning and supporting cloud services
