Active Directory Engineer

Important Skills:
Technical-5 years of experience as an Active Directory Engineer

Must Haves:
•BA/BS in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
•5+ years of professional experience in Active Directory
•3+ years current experience in scripting (VB, .NET, PowerShell) administrative tasks
•Microsoft Active Directory Services (Active Directory Certificate Services, Domain Services, Federation Services, and Networking Services)
•Knowledge of Active Directory sites, trusts, and topology
•PowerShell scripting
•Microsoft Online (Office 365 (w/Mail Migrations), Azure/Cloud

Nice to Have:
•Azure Active Directory federated single sign-on (SSO) integration process and tools.
•Extensive experience integrating SaaS and on premise solutions that require LDAP, OpenLDAP or direct Active Directory integration
•remote PowerShell, remote ADSI experience
•Familiarity with Identity Federation technologies including experience integrating large-scale identity solutions
•MCTIP, MCSE and/or other Microsoft Certifications
•Training and/or certifications in one or more of: Agile, DevOps, ITIL, COBIT, ISO/IEC, SANS, NIST or related frameworks

Day to Day:
•Install, configure, write and release code; manage multiple test and production environments triaging and resolving operational issues working with development teams on system design and performance tuning and designing and implementing database and server security protocols.
•Work directly with internal customers to provide analysis, recommendations and solutions for creating, upgrading, integrating, and managing database and application systems in a distributed environment.     
•Maintain, support and document the current AD environments and related processes across the University
•Document the state of distributed ADs against best practices and identify opportunities for improvement produce enterprise and department level designs based on accepted best practices
•Work with internal team members across various technical groups to ensure alignment and coordination work with leading subject matter experts engaged as supplemental resources to the program
•Install, configure and maintain AD and third-party software utilities develop scripts to automate routine functions including account creation, termination, monitoring and reporting create and maintain system installation, configuration and troubleshooting documentation for domain technologies
•Provide training as required
•Work outside normal business hours may sometimes be required; Participation in regular on-call rotation may be required
