The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is responsible for overseeing a Door-to-Door sales office consisting of a Field Sales Managers (FSM), Team Leaders and Energy Advisors. They are accountable for the performance of their office and ensure sales revenue, budget, and profitability goals are achieved. Successful individuals must effectively administer resources and services for their office; they are responsible for overall administration of the office in accordance with policies and expectations. TSMs are responsible for working within their budget while increasing productivity and profitability.
While a successful TSM must exercise independent judgment and discretion in the management of his or her office, the TSM works with their Senior Territory Sales Manager (Sr. TSM â?? if applicable) to set short- and long-term sales office goals, strategies, and performance objectives; evaluates the effectiveness of current sales strategies within the office. TSMs communicate and implement overall company business plans, strategies, initiatives and new product launches within their office.
The TSM ensures that his or her office is achieving performance goals and adhering to business guidelines. This individual is responsible for ensuring the office has the required sales enablers to effectively maximize sales effectiveness and efficiency. TSMs work with FSMs to develop daily, weekly, and long term (6-8 week) routing and work plans and ensure they a??re executed effectively.
A successful candidate must coach and mentor FSMs, Team Leaders and Energy Advisors within their office. They are responsible for orienting and training new team members. The role must hire and retain FSMs, Team Leaders and Energy Advisors, creating an environment that fosters career growth and keeps individuals engaged. TSMs must work with corporate resources to ensure resourcing and staffing levels are achieved and maintained in accordance with the budget and forecast for their office.
Territory Sales Managers must drive sales performance and compliance to Company, industry and governmental standards and regulations within their office.
