Job Description

•Support of  IT Disaster Recovery team

•Support and maintenance of Disaster Recovery plans within functional and geographic business units

•Support Disaster Recovery program in partnership with the IT team and business groups

•Work closely with regional centers, ensuring that regional plans are coordinated and supported

•Maintain documents and rationalize business recovery strategies

•Support Disaster Recovery tools including rollout and ongoing support.

•Support and maintain incident management process

•Participate as a DR representative to determine DR impact of new projects as required

•Promote awareness and support of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity (DR/BC) functions

Academic/Experience/Competency

•5+ years’ experience in  IT Disaster Recovery Planning and Implementation

•7+ years’ experience in Information Technology

•3+ years’ experience in project management with strong management and execution skills

•Experience participating in complex projects, deliverables, processes and communication

•Effective written and verbal communication skills

•Good presentation skills

•Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills

•Proven track record of being able to work and communicate to technical and non-technical audience

•Knowledge of Application and Database mapping and functional relationships

•Collaborative and flexible style

•Experience identifying, developing and implementing DR-related strategic and tactical plans

•Prior DR experience within regulated verticals

•Previous experience in achieving results through a matrix managed organization

•Demonstrated ability to drive toward achievement of results by establishing accountabilities and ensuring team members meet objectives

•Experience with ITIL Service and Continuity management preferred

•Experience with COBIT/ ISO standards preferred

•Experience with data backup and recovery preferred

•Experience with designing and implementing BC – DR tools

• MS-Office / Project / Visio / Power Point / Excel/SharePoint

Daily Tasks Performed

•Disaster Recovery plans for business-critical IT systems at Honda North America and subsidiaries

•Business Continuity plan support  for critical business processes at HNA and subsidiaries

•Support of the operational elements of IT Disaster Recovery Services

•Project plan for delivery of DR and BC plans within agreed-upon timeframe

•Monthly updates tracking delivery against plan
