Role:Director , Data Management & Operations Location:Fort Mill, SC

The Director, Data Management Patient Services has the overall responsibility for Lashs data foundation and teams. The Data Management & Operations team is responsible for everything ranging from data acquisition and integration, core operational and product data methodologies, functional oversight of day-to-day data integration and quality control, management of all data access tools, and supporting the internal customers of the resulting data asset. The single most important task of this position is to ensure data quality and integrity for our internal and external customers, while secondarily recruiting and retaining top technical talent.
This position will also lay new foundations for big data, and create new systems that align to our strategic data goals. To achieve this you will lead your teams to create new processes, systems, tools and capabilities in response to the needs of your market-facing customers (Product teams, Client Services teams, public-facing customers) and to optimize the manageability, flexibility, and utility of Client??s data platforms.

  • Design, build and drive overall strategy, methodology, and roadmap for the processes, systems, tools and capabilities required to produce and maintain our core data assets
  • Leadership, management, and growth of multiple data departments within the organization
  • Direct management of Data Architects, Directors, and Managers and mentorship to their respective teams
  • Synthesizing the needs of key market-facing stakeholders into clear roadmaps and execution plans
  • Handling inevitable disruptions to and artifacts in data processing
  • Growing the data asset to support Clients aggressive growth plans
  • Constantly keep up with industry data trends and drive high performing teams
  • Identify areas in need of automation and address them with an elevated sense of urgency

  • Leadership, management, and growth of multiple data departments within the organization

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years of experience managing Data and Business Intelligence teams focused on robust technology systems
  • Dynamic leadership and management experience of multi-disciplined teams with various priorities
  • Past experience as a technical expert in data analytics, business analysis, BI, etc. prior to leadership/management
  • Past experience scaling platforms, teams, and processes while maintaining world class quality
  • Experience in a Healthcare environment preferred
  • Develop a technical strategy and data roadmap to elevate the data platform, pipelines, data warehouse and lakes, reporting tools, and analytic capabilities.
  • Recruit and hire data engineering personnel to staff teams for rapid development against strategic data roadmap.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor the data engineering teams, engineering managers, and individual contributors in building a world-class technical data stack that empowers analysts to deliver insights to stakeholders.
  • Define data architecture, infrastructure, and engineering standards, processes and policies to be applied to building scalable and highly available data pipelines, ETL and Data Warehouse platforms.
  • Develop deep understanding of business model to guide the team to build a data model that can support business decisions.
  • Partner with Data Analytics on reporting, reporting platforms and insight delivery to business teams.
  • Gain adoption of the data platform by evangelizing data governance, collaborating across functions, and communicating technical and non-technical information to a wide audience
  • Partner with data governance organization to design best practices and standards, while working closely with analytics teams
  • Learn and apply knowledge and trends in data warehousing industry to maintain and modernize data systems and recommend building vs buying/partnering for solutions
  • Demonstrate exceptional prioritization and resourcing skills to maximize output from a high-performing team
