The IT Project Management Office (PMO) Manager must have strong practical experience in project and program management of information technology projects, gained through managing large and complex projects. They must have direct people-management and people-development experience. This position reports to the Director of the PMO. Responsibilities Ensure standards are upheld throughout the entire project lifecycle, tailored to ADMI organizational culture Help facilitate Portfolio Planning Prioritize tasks, set deadlines and assign staff to various deliverables Analyze Financial Information as it pertains to the project portfolio Champion continuous process improvements (risk, issue, change management, etc.) based upon industry best practices and engage in problem solving with other Managers and personnel Assist in writing and review of primary project documentation Manage day-to-day PMO activities and oversee the work of PMO personnel (FTE and Contract Project Managers) Work with department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop Portfolio roadmaps Help establish the PMO as a broader center of excellence Establish a supportive environment allowing employees to provide imaginative solutions to complex project requirements Implement strategies for capturing Portfolio metrics and funneling that information into easy-to understand project health, financial, and project analysis dashboards for all levels of the organization Enhance strategy for capacity planning of PMO resources Act as project manager for large, multi-disciplinary project, as the need arises Motivate, mentor and inspire Minimum Education and Experience Exceptional knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques Strong leadership and management skills Superior listening, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to read communication styles of team members from a broad spectrum of disciplines Expert knowledge of budgeting, finance management, resource allocation, change management, planning and schedule development Must be able to problem-solve any challenge with creativity and patience Proven ability to influence and gain buy-in at multiple levels, across divisions, functions and cultures; comfort working with executive level management Demonstrated ability to achieve results through cross-functional, virtual teams Solid understanding of software development life cycle models, including full life cycle of the QA Expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional Waterfall project management principles and practices Mastery of software programs and tools including MS Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Visio / SharePoint / TFS / JIRA Demonstrated success using project management software, such as MS Project and/or Smartsheet Previous experience with PPM software such as Innotas, Planview, and/or Workfront is a plus Ability to adapt approach to the context and constraints of each project Organized with a keen attention to detail Talent for handling shifting priorities / demands / timelines and effectively executing tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to react to Portfolio adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently is crucial Experience managing offshore teams and/or 3rd party vendors Must know, understand, and apply new technologies, including but not limited to a strong working knowledge of digital and cloud technologies Must be willing and able to reflect the organizational culture and strategy Ability to focus on details and technicalities while simultaneously retaining a comprehensive vision of the big picture Perform well under pressure; Juggle several different projects and responsibilities with ease and composure Critical thinking, organization, attention to detail and personal drive to see projects completed

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree (required) or Master degree (preferred) in a discipline with technology focus 7+ years direct Project Management and/or combined Program Management experience managing Application Development, Infrastructure, Business Intelligence, Digital, and/or Cloud technologies, with demonstrated success 3+ years managerial or supervisory experience 2+ years managing and/or growing a Project Management Office a plus 3+ yearsâ?? experience communicating /managing stakeholders at the Executive level
