Job Description:

  • Sr. Network and Collaboration Services EngineerReporting to the Enterprise Infrastructure Manager and in close association with the Network Infrastructure team, the network engineer is responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and resolving network related issues that affect business operations.
  • In addition, the engineer proactively seeks to communicate solutions to network-related issues and preferred emerging technologies that can be used to improve the overall health of the company network: Document, stabilize, maintain and optimize the Network and Collaboration infrastructure world-wide Monitors and reports the performance of network components against KPIs and takes preemptive measures to minimize interruptions .
  • Architect and scope required network and Cisco UC, video conferencing and WebEx environments .
  • Ensure that hardware and software infrastructure is maintained with latest firmware and software requirements Prepare detailed project proposals including estimated budgets and oversee and manage implementation.
  • Evaluates new technologies and platforms to determine whether their applicability aligns with businesses needs and drive down costs.
  • Comfortable and capable explaining technology and business requirements to internal cross-functional stakeholders and vendors alike.
  • Follow and enhance network security policies and principles Available and comfortable for infrequent travel (including international) to remote data centers and points of service Develops support materials for training and supporting users on new UC systems .
  • The complete Cisco Unified Communications (UC) stack for VOIP, Video Conferencing, WebEx, Jabber Cisco switches, routers, WiFi controllers, ASA appliances, Nexus and fabric extenders.
  • MPLS provider vendor management and circuit provisioning, management and troubleshooting Enterprise monitoring platforms such as Solarwinds Able to identify, prioritize, and solve complex network-related problems Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Understand collaboration and network technologies to produce efficient and effective business outcomes.

Knowledge of industry Best Practices How to rationalize and communicate Costs vs. Benefits and stick to the agreed on budget Effectively communicate, cooperate and collaborate across the both organization and our vendors Proven ability to deliver collaboration services at all layers.

Successfully designed and delivered complex collaboration and network projects for an International company.


Responsibilities and Activities :

This role will provide hands on Infrastructure support, on-call L2 support and support for escalated issues from other IT team members as well as other cross-functional departments.

Resolve implementation and integration issues and communicate system requirements to meet business objectives.

Extensive hands on experience and expertise with the majority of our networking and collaboration technology stack including: Skills:

Experience:

The candidate has at least 10 Years of growing hands on IT skills and responsibility in specifying, implementing, monitoring and operating complex network and collaboration infrastructures, preferably in a multi-national company.

The candidate will be highly knowledgeable with enterprise grade Cisco network systems and with Asia, European and North American collaboration points of service. Education: CCIE Collaboration certification highly desired A 4-year technical degree or equivalent military experience with ongoing technical classes and training.
