PM/Scrum Master

This position isresponsible for implementing, facilitating and enabling the Scrum process atthe team level for the revenue modernization team. In a Scaled Agile Framework(SAFe) the Scrum Master has additional responsibilities to accommodate for thesupport of scaling Agile as prescribed by SAFe.

Role he is going to playis:

    Scrum master / Project manager for a production support project

     Coach some of his teams on Agile methodology.

 

The Scrum Master should be aservant-leader who ensures adherence to standard Scrum practices in order tocontinually improve the team’s performance. The Scrum Master also supports theProduct Owner to

              Write and estimate User Stories

          PrioritizeUser Stories at the appropriate time

          Refinethe team’s work capacity

          Providetransparency to the work and project status

 

Essential Functions

The Scrum Master has the following responsibilities in a scaledagile environment:

     Ensure Scrum andSAFe process, rules, and ceremonies are properly applied by leading,facilitating and supporting the following:

  Daily stand-up meetings

   Sprint Planning

   Sprint Retrospectives

   Sprint Demos

   Scrum of Scrum meetings

  ReleasePlanning Events

         Coachthe team to:

 Becomea self-governing high-performance team

   Collaborate and effectively manage work

Resolveissues and conflict

        Removeany impediments to the team’s progress

        Assistthe Product Owner in:

   Maintaining and prioritizing the Product Backlog

  Writing and breaking down User Stories

       Createand maintain work visibility (Kanban boards, Agile tools, charts, etc.)

       Gather and maintain team metrics.

       Workwith the Release Train Engineer (RTE)/Technology Services leadership to helpfacilitate:

   Release Planning Events

   Scrum of Scrums

   Program governance

  System Demos

  Team status reports

  Stakeholdermanagement and organizational change management

        Collaborate withand escalate as required to the TS Application Development manager

 

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications:

Bachelor’sdegree or higher from an accredited college/university or equivalent workexperience.

At least one Agilemethodology certification such as

SAFeSA (Certified Scaled Agile Framework Agilist)

PMIAgile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)

CSM(Certified Scrum Master)

PSM(Professional Scrum Master)

             Formalfacilitation training or mentoring under a Scrum Coach

Morethan two years managing projects and/or programs using a formal projectmanagement methodology (Scrum, Accelerated SAP - ASAP, Waterfall, etc.)

        Experience managing stakeholders

Experiencecoordinating or serving on multi-team projects, and working in cross-functionalteams or environments

Experiencein business and solution development, project/program management, and project delivery

      Excellent understanding of the systemdevelopment life cycle

Abilityto interact effectively with various levels within the organization

Excellentverbal, written communication and presentation skills

PreferredEducation, Experience and Skills:

       Experience leading and/or supportingSalesforce.com implementations

Master’s Degree from an accreditedcollege/university (MBA, Information Systems or Computer Science)

Utilization of Version 1 and Planview, aplus

       Transportation industry experience
