Job DescriptionSummary/objective:
  • The Network Administrator will be responsible for supporting and implementing Enterprise-wide networks, including controls and analytical analysis.
  • Essential FunctionsCaptures network feedback by conferring with users; analyzing workflows, access, information, and security requirements.
  • Enhances network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, quality of service, and latency; executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; enforcing network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls.
  • Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring, analysis and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor or senior network team as appropriate.
  • Maintains network documentation.Tests, refines and installs network enhancements.Is available for off hours and after hours work from time to time, and available for on call workIs able to travel occasionally to other company facilities.

Experience:
  • Knowledge, Skills, And AttributesNetwork performance tuning including remote networks, LAN knowledge, network design and implementation experience.
  • Quick Study Cisco CLI and UI (ASDM and others), Wire shark, and Cradle point experience will make you more competitive.Experience with oil-field wireless technologies a plus.Hands-on experience with monitoring, performing network diagnostic's using analytical tools.
  • Experience with Cisco Firewalls, Firewall Modules, Routers and Switches.
  • Solid experience with networking protocols (i.e. Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)).
  • Experience with CISCO Catalyst, Nexus 9K, ASA, ISE, ASR and ISR.
  • Effective judgment in prioritizing and time allocationExcellent technical and non-technical written and oral communication skills.
