The Role

  • The Supply Chain Management Manager (SCM) is a key player in delivering on Quality, Cost and Growth objectives of our client.
  • Will provide expertise in and oversight of complex laboratory supply chain projects and initiatives to deliver maximum value creation for our clients.
  • The SCM will also participate in broader initiatives to drive supply chain wins on a corporate-wide basis.
  • Projects typically involve technology, capital equipment, capacity analysis, process and organizational change initiatives focused on quality by design, laboratory product and process development, lean manufacturing, quality and regulatory, supply chain strategy and optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Execution of Supply Chain Management process, and organizational and technical activities.
  • Understand client\'s business needs and lead the efforts in developing a business strategy, operating model and process definitions to address the business issues.
  • He/she will be involved in improving SCM operational metrics, business case development and performance measurement.
  • Manage competitive sourcing processes, RFPs, supplier selection, and contracting processes.
  • Conduct market analysis; evaluate demand pooling opportunities and effectively synchronize supply with demand.
  • Improve the supply chain performance through improved supply chain planning practices.
  • BachelorĂ¢??s Degree and an advanced degree in a relevant business, engineering or science major preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in project management with multiple full lifecycle Supply Chain Strategy engagements.
  • Success in strategic sourcing and contracts, production planning/capital analysis.
  • Proficiency in the use of technology to measure and improve efficiencies and collaboration.
  • Proven experience in operational improvements, business case development, change management, and performance measurements

Educational Requirements/Certifications

  • Bachelors Degree and an advanced degree in a relevant business, engineering or science major preferred or equivalent experience.
