Job Description
Looking for a Developer Team Lead to develop and maintain firms Salesforce.com based CRM platform. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing existing contract staff and 3rd party development to ensure continuity in our long term technical approach. Candidate must have experience with the Salesforce.com platform including Apex development, visual force and other common Salesforce development technologies. The candidate must also have experience working with enterprise data warehouses and be able to help define long term strategies as to how the CRM and data platforms should technically interoperate.
This position reports to the Director, Data Platforms with a dotted line report to the head of our CRM team.
The ideal candidate should have superior design and development ability with strong analytical skills. The team lead will act as the liaison between project managers, architects, development team members and analysts to build and maintain enterprise-level software solutions.
Additionally, the employee’s ability to work in a team environment and facilitate working relationship is critical. The employee must be creative, open minded, flexible concerning system design, and work to standards set by Putnam. This employee must be willing to have all application coding reviewed by peers and senior personnel.
Requirements
10+ years hands-on experience developing n-tier applications using Java/J2EE/C++
Minimum 1 year as a Technical Team Lead
5+ years hands on experience with Salesforce.com Apex development & Visual Force
Data Warehouse and/or Data strategies
Work with software development team and data warehouse team to manage roadmap and execution for all CRM initiatives.
Conversant with modern sales and marketing strategies.
Experience in the financial services industry is a plus
Experience in various testing methods – performance, load, stress etc. – a plus
Salesforce.com Developer Certification preferred
The developer will translate customer's high-level requirements into technical specifications for the IT organization and manage changes to such specifications.
Competencies
The candidate must possess seasoned, hands-on, successful experience in design and development.
Experience with the following:
Strong system development lifecycle experience
Proven ability to design and optimize business processes and to integrate business processes across disparate systems
Object Oriented Development Skills (Java, .NET)
·Strong CRM development skills including Apex and Visual Force.
·Excellent oral, presentation, listening, and written communication skills
·Financial Services experience is a plus
Minimum
Experience 10 years.
Education B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
