Essential Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain weekly sales analysis reports.
  • Hindsight seasonal product sales at season end; share findings with business partners â?? Ecommerce Merch Team & Product Team
  • Coordinate, organize and create template of cross functional (ecomm merchants, wholesale sales and product team) review.
  • Key Indicators of inventory, sales, markdown and lost sales analysis to be reviewed by MID by season
  • Present findings to cross functional group on a quarterly basis.
  • Create Templates and power point presentation
  • Utilize findings from hindsight to drive and influence future season with product teams
  • Use of seasonal hindsight to drive 12 month future forecasting by MID
  • Prepare and execute seasonal buys
  • 4 times per year creation of seasonal buys in excess of 100 MIDs.
  • Utilize hindsight and trend to partner with ecomm merchant on assortment planning and depth of buys.
  • Create buys and forecasts that align to company marketing, catalog and product ideas.
  • Ensure seasonal buys financially tie to budgets that include sales, inventory and receipt plans
  • Forecast carryover and core products; reviewing monthly to manage inventory needs
  • Monthly review of sales and inventory needs. Creation of receipt needs, coordination with demand planners.
  • Weekly review inventory needs weekly and process STOs to ensure in stock position for carryover and core MIDs
  • Ensure that OTB and in stock service levels are tied to overall budget and forecast goals.
  • Driver of weekly review of MID performance focusing in on core and carryover as largest part of the business
  • Recommending drops and adds quarterly to the assortment.
  • Create, maintain and manage OTB for areas of responsibility
  • Attend seasonal final line reviews, prepared to speak to business needs
  • Communicate inventory availability to Ecommerce Merchandise Team for all seasonal product launches and special partnerships
  • Prepare to lead special projects â?? partnership programs, SMUs, quarterly special events
  • Build and develop relationships with cross functional business partners to achieve financial results for area of responsibility and total company
  • Analyze business performance using SAP & BI tools

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of retail math and full understanding of merchandise planning
  • Must possess excellent organizational and prioritization skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Must prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, timelines and demands
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal, and ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • The ability to apply planning logic to maximize opportunity
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Planning/Enterprise Planning systems a plus

Education & Experience

  • BA or BS in Merchandising, Business or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in planning for a multi-channel retail environment (ecommerce and/or direct-to-consumer experience preferred)
