Key Responsibilities

  • Provides application development and business intelligence for the successful delivery of custom web applications and business reports.
  • The Programmer/Data Analyst works directly with internal clients and project teams with a focus on delivering solutions that meet and exceed the clients requirements.
Requirements and Skills

  • Work or other experience developing using object-oriented programming principles.
  • Ruby experience preferred, Java/.Net experience considered;
  • Work or other experience designing, developing, and querying RDBMS systems, including proficiency in SQL and stored procedure development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to gather requirements, clarify understanding of those requirements,
  • Communicate work status, and explain technical concepts to audiences with varying levels of technical understanding
  • May be required to work outside regular office hours on occasion and must adhere to specified emergency response times;
  • Strong analytic mindset, the ability to decompose complex problems into simpler components;
  • Ability to gather and translate business requirements into solid product specifications;
  • Ability to take initiative identifying and solving problems
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Ability to follow established development standards and other related processes
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work with diverse and distributed teams in a collaborative manner regardless of assigned role or reporting lines
  • Ability to plan effectively and deliver high quality results in a timely manner
  • Strong analytic mindset with the ability to analyze problems and devise appropriate solutions
