Role:-Network security engineer

Loc:- Princeton, NJ

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :- include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Monitor computer networks for security threats or unauthorized users
  • Identify compromised machines and report and document on security measures taken to address threats
  • Analyze security risks and develop response procedures
  • Developing and testing software deployment tools
  • Developing and testing firewalls and intrusion detection systems
  • Installing computer security software, conducting regular security audits, preparing security status reports
  • Protects system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources
  • Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities; reporting violations
  • Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating

Requirements

  • Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits
  • Upgrades system by implementing and maintaining security controls

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical, analytical and interpersonal skills required
  • Strong communication skills at all levels with complex and sensitive topics
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members
  • Experience with security principles, defense-in-depth techniques, application security
  • Experience in leading implementation and administrations of Web Application Firewalls
  • Possess functional knowledge and administrative experience on Windows and Unix/Linux Platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of application security vulnerabilities, testing techniques
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IT and information security subject matter
  • Knowledge of technical security architectural principles
  • Anticipates problems and identifies long-term implications of decisions and actions

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
